Choose ONE song to focus your analysis. In your response to this post, analyze the rhetorical devices that the artist(s) uses to convey their attitude toward their subject in three well-organized paragraphs. Think about the argument that the artist is conveying and cite evidence as to why they are using specific rhetorical devices.
Reminders:
- Use a thesis statement to guide your analysis. (This article from Purdue is a great resource to reference when crafting your thesis statement).
- Cite the title of the song and artist.
- Incorporate direct lines (citations) from the song, but make sure it doesn't take up the whole paragraph.
- Refrain from looking up previous analyses of your chosen song. I want your take!
